Susan Statham is both an avid student and teacher. A graduate of the Ottawa School of Art, Algonquin College, The National Portrait Academy and the University of Waterloo, she also studied at The Ontario College of Art, the Cecil-Graves Studio in Italy, and the Arts Student League in New York. At the request of those who saw her work, she began teaching in classical and traditional methods. Her favourite medium is oil and her preferred subject matter is portraiture. Susan is a member of the Society of Portrait Artists and is the President of the Cobourg Art Club.
