By day, Sonya is a voice over artist and television actress, by night she is Sonya Jezebel Côté, singing burlesque star. Jezebel will woo you with a French torch tune or take you on a ride with a bawdy swing number. Since the age of 14, Sonya has sung for her supper, for musicals, various live gigs and jingles. At age 19, moving to Toronto to study at the Royal Conservatory, she supported herself working in the stripping industry. Even before retro style burlesque came back, Sonya was known for her old fashioned caché. She has released 2 CDs, 3 music videos, and can be heard on Jazz FM 91 Radio and is on your television nightly, flogging something to keep her in sequins and rhinestones.
